LYME DISEASE CAUSES & EFFECTS

Typical Lyme symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. When Lyme disease is promptly recognized and a client undergoes proper treatment of Lyme disease, the overwhelming majority of clients recover uneventfully. Unfortunately, some people do suffer from undiagnosed Lyme’s disease, which can make recovery more of an uphill climb.

If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system, causing meningitis, encephalitis, or pain and loss of sensation stemming from an attack on the  nerves in the brain and spinal cord. These nervous system and auto-immune attacks can lead to clients to suddenly develop severe anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, depression, and loss of appetite. These symptoms are all signs you or your loved one’s nervous system is in high imbalance and stress.

TRADITIONAL TREATMENT OF LYME DISEASE

The Lyme disease cure most often consists of a 2- to 6-week course of oral or intravenous antibiotics. Clients can sometimes have symptoms of pain, fatigue, or difficulty thinking that last for more than 6 months after they finish treatment. This condition is called Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome. Chronic stress has negative effects on the immune system, making us more vulnerable to disease. Stress can make healing and recovery seem impossible. It is estimated that 70% of all doctor’s visits are stress related. Headaches, stomach aches, muscle tension, irritability and emotional distress are common stress related difficulties.

Nowadays, our lives are so busy and complicated that stress is unavoidable. The body’s natural response to stress is protective and adaptive: it mobilizes us to take action to deal with a threat. Then, when the threat ends, we return to a calmer state. But when stress becomes chronic, and the mobilization system does not shutdown, there are serious negative effects on the body. However, regaining a calm, relaxed state where the nervous system is capable of regulating allows the body to maximize immune system function. Studies show that BFB & DNFB can be an effective way to reduce stress and teach your nervous system to regain a state of calm.

In the first appointment, your NeuroCoach discusses your Lyme symptoms, addresses your concerns, and performs a Direct Neurofeedback session. This initial intake session is $89 at our West LA and South Bay offices, and is the first step toward feeling better.

LANC’S DIRECT NEUROFEEDBACK & LYME DISEASE CURE

LANC’s DNFB can ameliorate the effects of immune system involved disorders like Lyme’s Disease.  Although DNFB itself does not mitigate the disease processes responsible for immune system involved disorders, it can be quite helpful at restoring functional levels in affected clients. In particular, sleep disturbance, mood disturbance, and increased fatigue, as well as poor concentration and diminished attentional abilities, show restoration with effective DNFB.

Furthermore, the anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, and depression that can come with the gravitas of a Lyme disease diagnosis, can be mitigated by LANC’s DNFB protocol. DNFB with immune system disorders is an even more recent development than more “traditional” disorders such as attention deficit disorder, PTSD, and substance abuse.  However, LANC clients have reported immense appreciation for DNFB mitigating treatment of Lyme disease and accelerating healing.

“The Los Angeles Neurofeedback Center was very helpful for my peace of mind and happiness. They genuinely care and help you above and beyond. Highly recommended!"

DIRECT NEUROFEEDBACK AND YOUR BRAIN

For people with Lyme disease, their brain “freezes” in a dysfunctional homeostasis (much like a computer freezes). This frozen state confuses or disarranges the individual’s brainwaves. LANC’s DNFB briefly stimulates the brain at a micro-level, creating a temporary fluctuation in brainwaves. This allows the brain to reset or reorganize itself, thus releasing itself from its frozen or stuck patterns. This is analogous to re-booting a frozen computer.

Only frozen, stuck patterns are affected. Healthy, functional brainwave patterns are flexible and resilient. When there is a tiny fluctuation they automatically spring back to their healthy patterns. Those who have been treated with LANC’s DNFB have reported that their condition and related symptoms have diminished.

EXPECTATIONS FOR A LANC DIRECT NEUROFEEDBACK SESSION

Sessions are 20-30 minutes long, and the client remains passive, sitting back and relaxing in a comfortable chair.  It is not uncommon for a client to experience a feeling of lightness and relaxation in the very first session. While this effect is temporary, follow-up sessions encourage the brain to develop and access the new pathways it has discovered until they become “permanent” and the nervous system returns to healthy self-regulation.

As LANC’s DNFB sessions only last about 30 minutes and are usually done twice a week for the first three weeks, improvement may be seen quite quickly–especially when compared to medication. If you are pursuing anti-biotic treatment for Lyme disease, you may find that your immune system is able to make progress more quickly with more lasting results.  Try your first session today to support your treatment for Lyme Disease.
